Welcome to Miso, a personal recipe cookbook app and website. By using Miso, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Service.
App purpose
Miso helps you save structured recipes, organize a cookbook, cook from those recipes, and share recipe links. Features may evolve over time.
Privacy
Your use of Miso is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand what we collect and how recipes and photos are shared.
Licensed application
Where you obtain Miso through the Apple App Store, the App is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Accounts and eligibility
You may need an account to use core features. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. Miso is intended for users who can form a binding contract in their jurisdiction. While there is no separate age gate in the App, Miso is not directed at children under 13.
By using Miso, you confirm that:
- you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism; and
- you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Your content
You retain ownership of the recipes, text, photos, and other content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate Miso — including showing recipes and dish photos on public recipe pages and in the App.
You are responsible for User Content you upload. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, and do not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful material. Optional dish photos and recipe text should only include material you are comfortable making public via share links.
Public sharing
Recipes saved in Miso currently have public web pages reachable by anyone with the link. Sharing a link may expose recipe details, attribution, and photos. You are responsible for what you choose to save and share.
Acceptable use
You may not use Miso to violate applicable law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, abuse or disrupt the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or harm other users. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or misuse.
Third-party services
Miso relies on third-party services such as Supabase (authentication), cloud hosting, and object storage for photos. Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability outside our reasonable control.
Purchases
If paid products or subscriptions are offered later, prices and terms will be shown at purchase time. Payments through the App Store or Google Play are processed by those stores under their terms; Miso does not collect your full payment card details.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Miso is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Cooking involves real-world risk; always use your own judgment for food safety and allergens. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, recipes, or profits arising from your use of Miso.
Termination
You may stop using Miso at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that should survive termination (including ownership, licenses already granted as needed to operate shared content historically served, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive.

For support or feedback, contact us at [email protected]. We may update these Terms of Use; the latest version will be available on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
By using Miso, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use.
